This beautiful AC powered set has been fully restored and is in excellent working condition. It is a two-band standard broadcast and shortwave radio.
The Sentinel 220 is a large, impressive looking radio at approximately 21" wide, 11 " high, and 11 " deep.
All knobs are original. Tuning is very smooth and the set easily picks up both AM broadcast band and shortwave stations.
The case is in very good condition, restored in the original finish with many coats of gloss lacquer top coat. Many years ago the set was painted and suffered some damage to the verneer, but the damage has been repaired and is nearly invisible. The set is currently in remarkable condition--especially considering that it is nearly 80 years old!
This set has been fully electrically restored including recapping. All of the tubes are in top condition and the set is fully functional. This set pulls in many radio stations easily.
It is in very fine condition and would be a wonderful, fully working addition to any collection.
A complete schematic for this unit will be supplied with the unit to aid in any future servicing years from now.
